Maya Deren

My first residency at AIB, from January 5th to15th was very intense. I was really impressed by the vast knowledge of the faculty and the helpfulness of the students. I had never talked about my work so much to so many people. Something that was very private and intimate was laid bare for all to inspect like a Degas nude ;) To ground myself, I wanted to remember where I was coming from and am posting some of the most important influences in my work prior the residency.
